Steve Haug, executive chef at Del Frisco’s Double Eagle in the Galleria, is finishing up his nearly 20-year stint on Friday, Oct. 16, with the popular steak house.
“It was the hardest decision I’ve ever made,” Haug said.
His next stop: Grazia Italian Kitchen in Pearland.
“The stress and pressures have just built up,” Haug said, “and this new place will allow for more quality of life. I’m excited and sad at the same time.”
Haug said Grazia’s owner Adrian Hembree is looking to expand the family friendly format to more locations, as well as adding a steak house concept. Hembree’s Noble Experiment (Speakeasy), which is accessed through a phone booth in Grazia opened its doors earlier this month.
“Eighteen years is a very long time, I’m excited about the new challenge,” said Haug, who first started with Southlake, TX-based Del Frisco in 1997.
